Both their set of fans are dead against this idea. Well the ones in this country are, even the ones that don't go to games.
I can still see it being pushed through though. Hopefully they both fuck off and hopefully it's a big fat failure.
If I were the Premier League, then I'd threaten to kick them both out now.

UEFA/FIFA should inform the FA, who should then bust them down to the 4th division for having the audacity to think they can call the shots on the game. They're clubs, admittedly they have shit loads more followers who buy kits etc and they've been able to effectively buy trophies because of this, but they're still just clubs. Fucking arrogant cunts.

Good...they can fuck off out of it along with Barca, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, PSG and all the other cunts.
It will make the remaining leagues more interesting and competitive. It will also make them more affordable and give an opportunity to move back towards what football is all about.
Then watch the corporate behemoths all complain when the atmosphere and vibe isn't as exciting as the leagues that they left behind and they are down on subscriptions. Cunts.
I'm all for them doing one...the sooner the better

Don’t reckon a ‘European super league’ would want arsenal or spurs. They’d only want the rich teams - out of our lot it’s be Man U, Liverpool and then the newly rich Man City and Chelsea.
I hope they do eff off to be honest. Man U will be desperate for it now after years of
‘Struggle’ by their post 90’s standards. It’s a proper two fingers up at domestic fans though - basically reaffirming that TV rights, foreign rights deals and selling shirts abroad are far more important to them than gate receipts from any loyal fans

eusebiovic - Modern football doesn't care about atmosphere and vibe, it cares about money.
So their primary concern will be TV rights, the attending are considered more of an audience over the tribal fans of old.
Let them go if it means the rest of us can maintain a bit of the buzz that attracted us to football in the first place.

i would love to know what qualifies Tottenham to be held in the same bracket as Man Utd, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea
They have absolutely no history of success domestically since the PL was formed.
Ok they are a big commercial animal but so are many others in the PL now

It'll be interesting to watch the big 6 fight it out if it is 5 (I always feel sorry for Leicester who should be seen as one of those if resent results matter).
Hopefully whoever gets missed out is already kicked out of the Premier League at that point.

My understanding is that this league will run alongside the current Premier league, with matches taking place in midweek how is that going to work with the likes of Klopp complaining already about the fixture lists

shit like this shows how little they value their traditional fans. a bloke on a recent hammers utd video said as much when telling a story about when brady said a fan in the far east who'd never been to a game was as valuable to the club as a bloke who's followed the team up and down the country for decades

Looks more like an exclusive champions league, so the lhese clubs will be guaranteed the lucrative finances each year worth a fortune without having to qualify through their league position.
Which in turn will give them the pick of the transfer market by out bidding other clubs and also no chance of players playing in the elite competition unless they sign for one.
